Geoff McKinney, AIA

Geoff’s work experience began in Colorado where he worked on educational, recreational, and retail projects. Geoff joined 2WR in 2009 and quickly became a leader within the studio. Through his work on Higher Education and major medical facilities he illustrated exceptional leadership skills. This led to Geoff being named a Senior Principal and Partner in 2012.

Geoff has extensive experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM), envelope design, document development, and construction administration. He routinely serves the
roles of project manager, architect and construction administrator. His responsibilities while serving these roles includes quality control reviews, document coordination, project development and construction administration.

Sustainability in architecture is of great importance to 2WR. Mr. McKinney is LEED AP BD+C certified and has been on the project team for several LEED projects. Utilizing this background, Geoff strives to develop innovative and creative ways for improving operational costs of cannabis facilities.
